I asked some of my favorite bloggers how they thought the last three seasons were going, and one favorite advice I came up with was Don’t get hung up on the numbers.

If a player does strike out at least 25 of their first at-bats, they’re considered a loss because they have never struck out more than 15 off their first at-bat before the season began, and if he does strike out at least 15 off his first at-bat, they’re considered a win because he has allowed just 5.2 walk on his last 20 at that point.
