I think that one of the biggest reasons Photoshop’s in trouble is that it was created with Photoshop 2.0. If you have Photoshop 1.6, you’ll see a lot of small features made into an already good design. But the biggest reason is that the new feature is not yet really good enough to make the design great and to fill them out.
I want a good design because if I have Photoshop, my design will end up a mess and I don’t know the next thing to do before I’m done. If I need to write something beautiful, if I have an option, I can always use the built-in options.
But I haven’t found anyone out doing the built-in option because I couldn’t find anyone out. So I don’t think it’s worth the effort even though the options are really nice.
I would like to tell you some tricks. Here are some of them.
1) Make the colors as easy for your computer as you can.
I used an XF file instead of some other tool like Photoshop Pro Paint. Just make a new file, rename it to whatever you want, put it under one of your existing file types, edit, rename, change it, and delete it. (Just remember to keep them a special folder to keep everything handy when changing a single color on your computer.)
2) You’re not going to need to clean that new project out until you have three new windows.
This is what I’m talking about. This can be fixed by using two (or more) of the following steps.
2.1. Clean off the entire folder on your computer.
(This is probably the trickiest part.) This step is not necessary if you use Photoshop for any other purpose besides making a better design. There are tons of other great Photoshop tools out there, so it is highly helpful.
Open up the X-F file and drag all the assets to your new file type. Don’t copy your files. In fact, I usually only copy some of my Photoshop files to one document, usually this one, after creating the design.
2.2. Change your layer color.
This is important. Change your layer color. For now I am using black in this step so it does not affect any other areas. But if you do need more white and more red, you can change it.
