How Do You Take Product Photos - Sell Photos To Magazines
We do some photography and we shoot in full frame but a camera can be very limited in what you can take. What are your takeaways
I have been in one film store for over 10 years now. I was just lucky enough to be given a camera a shot in this town of ours. We love it so much we decided to go out there and make it ourselves. Our photography is just so much fun and it makes our local town so much more interesting. So the idea is we would ask customers to take an idea and show us and other people how they did it. We’re going to take pictures and show it to anyone of us who goes through the shoot we do. It’s going to be awesome because it’s our first time we’ll actually show them how we got through the process. It’s such a unique process. You do your own work and get paid for it. Now your business is about as unique as the business is about the world. We don’t just have to be the next Kodak. It’s about getting the job done and getting people to take pictures and that’s why every company out there wants pictures. The best company out there wants to be the Best Company in The Universe.
You use personal photography. Do you do it on the job where you can go and shoot with people and get paid for it like a professional
Yup. I’m an electrician and I do it all the time as though I was a professional. I’m definitely going to let myself out of my comfort zone and actually go out there and see people. It’s a personal style of photography where a camera is part of the experience rather than just taking photos of the people you’re looking to photograph and then putting that into photos and then selling them and so on. I really try not to do that in public so that it looks really good at the end of the day. That doesn’t necessarily mean it’s a public thing for the person. Some people are just like, I think it’s a good idea because it’s a better way to get paid for something I’m doing. But I know that for the people it can bring a bit more emotion to their work. It makes the job feel more real. They don’t feel like they’re doing it.
Does your business use any other types of photographers
Not really so much. We use people that we think are going to really cool stuff or things that people like. We put them all together and
