No. We have no tattoos to go by now, there was a time when I was 12 but this is just another case of being scared to get rid of myself. It’s only fitting once I get past those scars and get on with my life, because if I’m honest with you guys, there’s absolutely nothing I could do to stop it.
What’s been the first time you’ve been able to get tattooed like that
I was in the Army. My wife called me over this year asking ‘Is there a tattoo you want Is there something you’d like to do’ The thing is I’ve always been into it, I’ve always wanted to go back, and now with tattoos, that’s something I actually love. It’s like I get to be who I am as an individual. I want to be so proud what I’m doing. It’s been such a rollercoaster ride now to get my tattooed, with all of the support that’s been provided. It’s just been amazing to see my body growing, I’m grateful to have my body and body in such a good state.
Are you going to get rid of this or will a tattoo remain in your life
It would become my body. As soon as I get back to my home country, the tattoo won’t be removed. I don’t think it would. But as soon as I get through that with this piece for people to see, I’ll probably do something to help them see that I’m having a lot of success as a female artist, it’s only getting better.
You also mentioned about your new album, ‘Breath of the Dragon’. Do you think any of that really influenced what you’re making now
I’m taking a lot of inspiration from the album and it’s just so different from how things did before that. I’ve been taking different ideas from a variety of bands. In the beginning, when I was in high school there were a lot of different bands hanging out in my band room, and I could tell there was a vibe to every song. I never wanted to be the big guy. I wanted to play a different type of music, but now I’m taking that vibe and making music in the style of a lot of the bands I played in with. People are so into it and they really like the style.
What makes you feel that way about your new album and you’re definitely looking forward to it
